My goal is to lace these up everyday. It doesn’t always happen, but that’s the aim.
I used to work out for vanity. To be thin, to look good in clothes. And don’t get me wrong, that’s still a huge bonus. But when I bought these shoes, Callum was old enough to understand what I was doing. He asks me when I’m going to exercise. He asks me why I exercise. So I tell him to be strong. To be healthy. To take care of myself. And the more I say it, the more I realize how true it needs to be.
So when Callum gets excited that we all have different coloured fast running shoes, it pushes me to keep putting them on, day after day, and tie these purple laces up.
