It’s been almost a year since I found this amazing light with a sledge hammer.
Last year we bought a house knowing there would be a lot of work and renovations to make it into the home we envisioned. We had a wealth of ideas, but nothing set in stone. Every day brought change, in our hearts and minds for how the project would develop, and in the reality of the work taking place. As crazy as it may seem with a toddler and new baby in tow we took on most of the project ourselves.
On a bright March morning I pulled out various hammers and pry bars. Drywall fell away from walls separating the kitchen from dining and living rooms. By the afternoon the golden light cascading through the front bay window reached me in the Kitchen.
It was a glorious affirmation of a good decision.
