Beautiful Holly came to see us when she was brand new. We photographed her parents for their maternity photos here, it’s so much fun watching a new family develop! I truly love it.

Thank you so much for coming to see us for Holly’s newborn photos. Truly an honour to cuddle these new lives and help document such a fleeting time.

Nixon definitely gave me a run for my money during his session! He just started walking so he had no interest in sitting still for me – he wanted to explore!

It took a bit of time, some patience, and a lot of snacks, but we got Nixon happy and really captured his adventurous little spirit.

Nixon has a wonderful mamma who was all for having some fun with his session. The chevron themed shoot was a big hit! I just adore it.

Spring in Edmonton is kind of a huge deal. We live through long, cold, seemingly endless winters. So when the sun comes out, the snow melts, and colour starts to show outside, everyone springs to life.

These blooms are here for such a short amount of time, catching them, photographing in them feels like a treat. We had an evening laughing and joking and having so much fun.

Spring has hit Edmonton in a big way, which means everyone is itching to get outside and take advantage of this beautiful weather. Add to the fact that the beautiful blossoms are around right now, and it means I’ve had a crazy couple of weeks.

Im feeling a little bit in awe of how busy I’ve been, and I’m not going to lie, somewhat overwhelmed. This season I’m a lot busier than last year, and I have a VERY busy little man at home who wants to play and explore with me.

I just wanted to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to all of our clients. I have made mistakes, given the wrong information and plain and simple screwed up a couple of times in the past few weeks. Not one person has got mad at me. Not a single person has seemed upset. They have seemed to understand that this whole new world of balancing work/family/life is a challenge, and everyone has understood, without me needing to say much at all.

So thank you. Thank you for allowing me to spend time with Callum. Thank you for understanding when I don’t answer an email or text immediately. I’m trying really hard to put down my phone when I’m with him, and look at the world right in front of me instead of at a tiny screen. I’m trying to teach him to be present in life by being present myself.

Thank you for being amazing. Thank you for sharing in my triumphs and minimizing my mistakes. Without you guys – each and every  person who has booked us, shared our photos, told other people about us – there would be no reason to figure out this balance.

I’m feeling overwhelmed, grateful, happy, and loving my job so, so much.

Charlie Milan come to see us when he was first born, and 6 months later how he has grown!

It’s unbelievable the change in kids in the first year. We offer a First Year package to see kids at newborn, 6 months and 1 year. It’s pretty awesome documenting them.

Shannon and Jarratt were unbelievably excited to meet their little one when I met them.  Winter in Edmonton means cold, wind, bitterness. They didn’t seem to notice. They cozied up and cuddled and told me all about their upcoming little girl.

I have since met Holly, their beautiful little one. She’s amazing.

This lovely family braved a windy cold day for their photos so we took cover in a lovely path we adore. Tori played and giggled while her parents chased her, tossed her in the air and covered her with kisses. What a lucky little lady.

DJ’s mom has been following our work for ages. When she got in touch and knew we had been traveling for 17 months, that we had a son, she knew us! It’s extremely flattering to hear all my ramblings and blog posts were read and enjoyed. I needed to catch up with her and get to know them. We have since chatted a lot back and forth online, so I feel like we’re a bit more even now.

DJ is turning one really soon, so we celebrated with a styled photo shoot.  I’m SO grateful Tracey trusted me when I told her I had an idea, she just let me go with it. Clients putting their trust in me means so much, and the photos couldn’t have turned out better. I still have apples sitting in my house that I need to bake with!

Tracey also made DJ’s amazing cake! She put a lot of work into that rainbow, and it shows, it photographed beautifully.

Thank you so much for coming to see me Tracey, I had a great afternoon with you both! I’m sure we’ll have some playdates in the future.

We have been waiting to meet this little beauty for a long time. We capture Kinley’s mamma through her pregnancy, which you can see here (I’m so proud of it!)

Kinley came to see us when she was 3 weeks old. She slept for us, she cuddled me as much as I wanted (perk of the job!) and we got to visit with her lovely parents.

Welcome to the world little girl, I can’t wait to watch you grow.
