A gorgeous wedding day, planned down to the tiniest detail, on a hot Edmonton summer day. Tamara thought of everything, ensuring the day was absolutely gorgeous. You two are a perfect balance for one another, and together I think your initials say it all – you’re dynamite!

The day was full of sunshine and an entire wedding party that was seriously amazing, and so much fun! The night ended with greek dancing where everyone was welcome to join in!

A beautiful summer evening with a gorgeous family…what more could we ask for? We spent the evening playing, laughing and chasing these two little balls of energy while their parents laughed along with us. This session turned out exactly how we aim to shoot our sessions – laid back, unposed, natural.

We made the announcement on Facebook recently that a selection of our travel photos are going to be showcased in a few different Vistek stores across Canada. How fun is that?!

Laurie and Everett were married in Ireland. We WISH we could have been there for that, the footage from their day looks magical. When they came home they threw a big bash for family and friends to help them celebrate – and we had the honour of being a part of it.
We met up before the reception for photos, and our first stop was at Archbishop O’Leary high school. Yep, these two are high school sweethearts, so we went back to where it all began. It just so happens that my brother works there, so he got us inside for a walk through the hallways and a few shots in the classroom where they met (I know, too much fun!!).
The day was a blast. These two are amazing, wonderful people who have been through so much together and are still going strong. We’re lucky to know them, and we’re so happy we got to be a part of the day.
Congrats again you two.

It was time for a driving day, as we finally said good-bye to Te Anau. I think it’s the longest we’ve spent somewhere since we came to the south island. The drive took all day as the windy road took us through beautiful countryside. We left sunny skies and drove into rain, and wind. Lots and lots of wind. So much wind it bends the trees all in the same direction, away from the sea. I have never seen anything like those trees being bent.

The drive was peaceful, rambling and easygoing. We weren’t sure where we would end up at the end of the day, but we were happy to be slowly making our way there.

We met this awesome family on Father’s Day for a warm evening of golf. Little Jayan is a golf fanatic, and has his own clubs to prove it. He is such a fun guy, he warmed up to us right away and we became fast friends.

We met Meagan and Tom for the first time the night of their engagement shoot. They are another amazing couple who booked with us while we were away gallivanting around the world. We could tell they were unsure about this whole “engagement photos” business, but they very quickly realized how much fun we are! We had such a great evening with these two, hanging out in the beautiful woods…swatting misquotes, being eaten alive.

The images showed it was totally worth the slight loss of blood! Thanks so, so much for coming to get to know us you two, we are SO excited for your wedding in September!

Gareth and I arrived back to Edmonton from our 17 month trip less than a week before Veronica & Matteo’s wedding. This would make most brides incredibly nervous, so we checked with everyone who had booked with us before we booked our flights home. Veronica’s response was – stay away and enjoy your trip as long as you possibly can. Her breezy, easygoing attitude extended to everything on her wedding day, resulting in a laid back, low stress day.

All of the details were gorgeous, and it was clear that all Matteo and Veronica wanted was for everyone to have fun. I think the mission was accomplished. We loved hanging out with you and your family, we had an absolute blast! Congrats again to you both, thank you so much for having us be a part of your day. We are truly honoured.

Mark and Desiree are welcoming a baby into the world very soon (hopefully this week!) We were thrilled to spend the evening with them and capture this time just before the little one comes.
