This was a really, really special session for me! My cousin Karley and her lovely husband just welcomed their baby into the world, so I was SO excited when they asked me to document their first weeks at home as a family. I was nervous if I’m being honest – Gareth photographs all of our newborn sessions, but with him working another job at the time, I took a deep breath and decided I COULD do this! Swallowed my fear of not knowing enough, being enough, having enough practice, and I decided to try. I’m so proud of how Sutton’s In Home Newborn Session turned out! We hung out and had such a lovely, relaxed afternoon together. I adored getting to know Sutton, and can we talk about her incredible nursery?!
Karley took the time to sneak out and get her makeup done, which turned out beautifully. It’s always a great idea for new moms to get their makeup done for their newborn session if they can swing it – in a time when women might feel a bit strange and foreign in their bodies right after having a baby, it’s so nice to be pampered and to feel beautiful. Haley from HP Makeup Artistry did an amazing job!
Sutton’s In Home Newborn Session is a session I’ll always be proud of! It’s really special to photograph family and document these really special milestone’s in their lives. And I’ll always think of their session as the one I just got out of my own way.
Welcome to the family, beautiful Sutton.
